<P style="MARGIN: 0cm 0cm 0pt" class=MsoNormal>Lateinamerika gilt als der &#132;katholische Kontinent&#147;: In keiner anderen Weltregion ist der Katholikenanteil an der Bev&#246;lkerung so hoch. Der Katholizismus war in den vergangenen f&#252;nf Jahrhunderten die ma&#223;gebliche kulturpr&#228;gende Kraft zwischen Rio Grande und Feuerland. Und dennoch gilt: Lateinamerika war niemals <I style="mso-bidi-font-style: normal">nur</I> katholisch. Trotz Missionierung bestanden die indigenen Religionen fort; seit der Kolonialzeit waren auch verschiedene protestantische Kirchen in Lateinamerika und v.a. der Karibik pr&#228;sent; durch die Sklaverei bildeten sich afroamerikanische bzw. afrokaribische Religionen heraus. In der Gegenwart wird das katholische Sinndeutungsmonopol vor allem durch das Wachstum der Frei- und Pfingstkirchen in Frage gestellt.</P>

<P style="MARGIN: 0cm 0cm 0pt" class=MsoNormal>Das Seminar will einen Einblick in die religi&#246;se Situation Lateinamerikas und ihre historische Genese bieten sowie aktuelle religi&#246;se und theologische Entwicklungen und Fragestellungen in den Blick nehmen.</P>
