Lehrinhalte:
Die Vorlesung ist eine Einführung in das Fach Genetik. Sie soll einen konzeptionellen Rahmen für die große Menge an faktischem Wissen bieten und diese auf die zunächst essentiellen Prinzipien reduzieren. Dies wird exemplarisch anhand der in der Forschung als Modellsysteme verwendeten Organismen geschehen, wobei in einem ersten Schritt die molekularen Prinzipien biologischer Informationsverarbeitung erarbeitet werden, um sich fortführend höher geordneten genetischen Problemen zu nähern. Ein spezieller Fokus wird dabei auf einer Darstellung des Fachs als quantitative Biowissenschaft gelegt werden, sowie als Grundlagenwissenschaft für die Gentechnologie.
