Lehrinhalte: Phenomena at the fluid-solid boundary play an important role in many technical applications such as lubrication, microfluidics, biotechnology or printing. The lecture focuses on the fundamental aspects. Topics include: Liquid surfaces, thermodynamics of interfaces, the electric double layer, surface forces, contact angle, wetting, surface modification, microfluidics, friction, lubrication and wear, cleaning.
