Course Contents:
This course is divided into a lecture course and following, accompanied exercises. The main focus lies on the constructive and creative workout of complete small projects, taking special constructive and scientific aspects as a basis (f.e. filigree-type light structures, sensitive structures, optimised application of material).
Content chapters:
Design processes, model and plans, Lightweight construction 1, Lightweight construction 2, Building with textiles 1, Building with textiles 2, Building with air, Building with glass 1, Building with glass 2, Steel Construction, Building with wood, Building with steel cables.
Totally there are usually 3 accompanied exercises worked on for 4 to 6 weeks each and completed with an individual presentation. The scope of work includes (depending on the task) verifications of the constructive and statical principles, designs on plans and models. Interdisciplinary working methods shall be applied.
Notation for Master-Students:
The course can be chosen as a C-Modul for the program of study.
