Course Contents:
The course provides an overview of the specific field Supply Chain Management. Students become sensitive to complex management across firms borders in the Supply Chain. Furthermore the students become able to transfer strategic management knowledge as well as specific logistics knowledge to Supply Chain Management.

Official Course Description:
Based on definitions, basic knowledge and concepts of Supply Chain Management, basic approaches for network structures will be discussed. Relations and types of cooperation will be shown to understand the importance of integration and coordination within supply chains. Fundamental elements of Supply Chain Management are Performance Measurement and Controlling, as well as Customer Relationship and Supplier Relationship Management. Afterwards Enterprise Resource Planning Systems will be presented, which are necessary to control the processes across firms borders. In contrast there are rules within organisations, which are only valid for the firm. A view on dynamic of Supply Chain and the borders of Management opportunities completes the program.
