Official Course Description:
Simulation of production and logistic systems is an interdisciplinary topic. It connects know-how of operations management and Operations Research with knowledge of mathematics and statistics, informatics and Software Engineering. After the succesful completion of the module, students know the statistical basics of discrete-event simulation. They can classify and use the corresponding software. They know the relations between simulation and optimization as well as some case studies. They further know how to structure a simulation project and where to pay attention to in the project development.
