Course Contents:
The aim of these lectures is to teach the fundamental principles of information technology, focused on the application in mechanical engineering. The contents and syllabus are geared towards the information technology required by the mechanical engineering industry. The basics are presented under three headings: 1. introduction to information technology, 2. methods of programming 3. data structures and algorithms 4. mathematical and technical IT basics 5. hardwareconfiguration and 6. methodical application of information technology. The educational goals are: - knowledge about the basics of information technology, - understanding of program development and knowledge of programming languages, - development of data structures and algorithms, - knowledge of the different application systems and - understanding of the connection between the operating system and the application software.
