Course Contents:
Numbers.
Roughly following Ebbinghaus et al., the first talks will give a detailed account on the development of the common number systems (natural numbers, integers, rationals, reals, complex numbers and finally quaternions). Later talks give an outlook on nonstandard reals, ordinal numbers and possibly further types of numbers.
Please note that this seminar will be held as "Blockseminar" (see below).
