Course Content:


  • Formal basics of Human-machine communication and interaction
  • Multi-model and graphic systems (logic and physical input/output devices)
  • Graphical interfaces (interaction mechanisms and techniques, structure, design, colors, APIs, Widgets, events)
  • Coordinate systems (device, logic, local, uniform coordinates)
  • Transformations (affine, projective)
  • Visibility (clipping, occlusion calculation)
  • Color (color perception, physical-technical and perceptional color models)
  • Spatial frequencies (frequency space transformations, relate to human perception)
  • Image processing
  • Generalised documents
  • Object recognition, Bayes
  • Multimedia retrieval
