Course Contents:
The course covers the coordination of information and product flows in supply chains. First, interdependencies between the different stages of a supply chain are itentified, and then methods for coordinating ordering, production and consumption at the different stages are introduced. The focus of the course is on determining optimal production, ordering and transportation quantities for supply chains and also discusses different contractual mechanisms for coordinating the supply chain.

Preconditions:
Students should be familiar with the contents covered in the course "Grundlagen der Betriebswirtschaftslehre" and should know basic methods in operations research.
