Course Contents:
Students learn to practically apply and extend tools for the assessment and construction of dependable software.
The collection of tools comprises, but is not limited to, testing frameworks for different types of software tests, tracing tools and debuggers, static analyzers, and tools for formal verification.
The projects vary from semester to semester and are presented in a kick-off meeting at the beginning of the semester.
Students work on assigned topics in groups under the guidance of a research assistant.
Students present their topic and software implementation at the end of the lab course.

Preconditions:
Practical programming experience, e.g., with Java, C, or C++.
Basic knowledge in software design and testing.
Prior experience in software projects (e.g., the bachelor project) is beneficial.
Interest in learning about new tools and creative thinking for finding solutions to interesting and challenging problems.
