Course Contents:
Latin I is the first part of a two-semester Latin course designed to give students a sufficient knowledge of classical Latin to be able to work with Latin sources of every type at a high academic level.
Students will acquire the fundamentals of Latin morphology and syntax. Our textbook (Kuhlmann: Unikurs Latein) consists mainly of adapted texts by Roman authors. As well as the Latin language, the course will also include aspects of Roman culture and literature.
Students will be required to write and pass two written exams during the semester in order to successfully complete the course.
