Course Contents:
(a) Basics of Information Systems (IS) design: Details of the three Financial Accounting core processes „order-to-cash,“ „purchase-to-pay,“ and „record-to-report“ as well as „Enterprise Performance Management,“ introduction into the SAP module „Financials,“ non-functional design of management support systems (MSS), current developments of hard- and software for managers´ IS support. (b) Finance function 2025: Target picture structured by St.Galler Business Engineering approach, CFO role model and Finance competencies „Business Partner, Guardian, Pathfinder, Service Expert,“ new working places and collaboration within Finance and beyond, digital technologies in focus, prototypes and pilots from practice. The lecture on hand covers two exercises:
- Zero-Quartile Benchmarking – processes of the Finance function 2025
- Corporate Navigator – a MSS approach
