Course Contents:
In the seminar selected topics regarding theory, algorithms, numerics and applications in optimization are covered from the following areas:
- convex optimization
- optimization for data analysis/machine learning
- optimization under uncertainty
- optimization problems in economics and engineering
- game theory
A subsequent Bachelor thesis is possible.
Literature:
Literature will be announced in the preliminary meeting and can afterwards be browsed and selected online.

In the second or third week of the summer term there will be a preliminary meeting. The precise date will be announced soon via TUCaN. In this meeting possible topics are presented.
Additional Information:
The seminar will be held en bloc at the end of the winter term 2019/20.
