Basics of Tensor Analysis, Basics of Special Relativity, Covariant Form of Maxwell`s Equations, Basics of Nonlinear Dynamics, Hamilton Formalism, Phase Space, Basics of Longitudinal Beam Dynamics, Liouville`s Theorem, Beam Equations, Particle Tracking, Accelerating Cavities and Systems, Longitudinal Beam Manipulations.

Preconditions:
Vector analysis, infinitesimal calculus, basics in differential equations, first contact with Maxwell`s equations.

The lecture 18-kb-2010-vl und 18-kb-2010-ue „Beschleunigung geladener Teilchen im elektromagnetischen Feld“ will expire and is not available from SoSe2020 any more. From WiSe20/21 there will be a follow-up lecture called „Relativistische Elektrodynamik“. This lecture can be taken as a replacement.
