3.1. Considering a single constraint
3.2. Considering multiple constraints

4.      Lot sizing
4.1. The EPQ model
4.2. The economic lot scheduling problem
4.3. Dynamic lot sizing
4.3.1. The method of Wagner and Whitin
4.3.2. Heuristic planning methods

5.      Supply Chain Management
5.1. The joint economic lot size model
5.2. Discounts as incentive mechanisms

Principles of Business Administration I + II

In this course, students are introduced into basic planning problems and solution methods of production and supply chain management. After participating in this course, students should be able to apply the discussed methods on their own. In addition, the course covers the implementation of the discussed methods in business software, such as Enterprise Resource Planning oder Advanced Planning Software. After participating in this course, students should be able to assess the applicability of different software solutions for different planning problems.

Official Course Description:
In this course, students are introduced into basic planning problems that occur in supply chains as well as decision supports methods that can be applied for solving these problems. After participating in this course, students should be able to apply the discussed methods on their own. In addition, the course covers the implementation of the discussed methods in business software, such as Enterprise Resource Planning or Advanced Planning Software. After participating in this course, students should be able to assess the applicability of different software solutions to different planning problems that occur in practice.
