Course Contents:
During the course of this research lab, advanced theories and subjects from the field of "Science and Technology for Peace and Security" (PEASEC) will be discussed. Based on the introduction to and repetition of methods of empirical social sciences, contemporary project topics which are related to PEASEC research will be elaborated, and addressed applying scientific methods. Thus, students will develop their own research designs dedicated to intersections of politics and technology and conduct research exemplifying social scientific approaches. During the semester, scientific articles (“papers”) will be developed and presented. As usual in scientific work, students will constructively review each other’s work in an iterative peer-review process. Subsequently, the papers will be revised for finalization and submission.
