Course Contents:
(a) Concepts: Principles and definitions around the term „information,“ model regarding level of information, description of different key figure systems, balanced scorecard, (industrial) risk management accommodating KonTraG (incl. early indicator systems), value-based management. (b) Management Support Systems (MSS): Information systems (IS) for managers, business intelligence (BI), data warehousing, OLAP (online analytical processing), IS project management, MSS design (content), use case: Corporate Navigator, Digital Enterprise Platform. The lecture on hand covers two exercises:
· Comparison of different key figure systems
· Fulfilling KonTraG requirements with different Balanced Scorecard approaches
