Preconditions:
The students are capable of understanding legal text, of recognizing the significant compound-related contexts and of applying those on simple case scenarios.
The students have the ability to evaluate different solutions, to elucidate factually and comprehendsibly and to make and justify decisions.
The students are capable of depicting and presenting their work.
The students have to be capable to work on subject-specific problems in accordance to scientific principles.
The students are capable to expendiently participate within a group towards a joint solution of an engineer-like assignment.

Official Course Description:
The students will be introduced into the basic principles of "sustainable chemistry" and it's effects - also in an international context - on chemical safety.
The course participants will be provided an insight into the complexity of chemical production and value-added chains and will assess problematic production processes and develop solution strategies.
Within the coursework the students will research within common substance databases and compile a short report. Through a practical group work in the laboratory they will gain the opportunity to independantly create an evaluation of a consumer product.
