Qualification goals / learning outcomes
After attending the course, students will be able to work independently on instrumental-analytical problems according to scientific principles and to professionally validate the results of their investigations.

After successful completion of the course the students are able to:
·         name the principles of operation as well as the performance and limits of the instrumental-analytical methods commonly used for environmental and product analysis and classify them by their analytical data set characteristics.
·         correctly select, apply and further refine suitable methods for a specific environmental analytical problem.
·         apply mathematical-analytical techniques to correctly organize, statistically evaluate and assess data series.
·         develop and document a validation of method.
·         work out their results independently on the basis of subject-specific analysis and according to academic standards and to reflect their learning process.
·        work together in a team and communicate and cooperate in an appropriate manner.
·         discuss the results of their work within the framework of scientific thinking.
·         write down, present and defend the results of their work in an appropriate manner.
