In the small Hessian town of Weilburg, a series of rammed earth houses caused a stir in the 19th century, but over the years this construction has fallen into oblivion again. In the winter semester 22/23, we already made a documentation of these houses in the seminar "Pisé". In a commented tour, Weilburg would like not only to connect the existing buildings with each other and reappraise this local building tradition, but also to integrate new buildings as model projects in a Pisé path. The Pisé House is to be built at the Landtor in Weilburg's old town. From the very beginning, we will design according to the principles of earthen building and try to make use of the characteristic peculiarity of this construction method and perhaps also test contemporary developments. The new building should perpetuate the local identity and bring its value back into the consciousness of the city.
