Digital Teaching:
The course is currently planned for SoSe 2022 as face-to-face teaching. Depending on the pandemic situation, however, a change to digital teaching is possible. Access to the lecture material, i.e. the set of slides and, if necessary, the lecture videos, is provided via Moodle.
Course Contents:
The course is designed to enable you to make a selection of a material and its technological treatment that meets the requirements under given conditions, in order to be able to design and produce as solution-oriented, sustainable and economical as possible.
The lecture deals with four topics with the respective focal points:
1. Materials technology: surface technology, heat treatment, residual stresses and surface hardening
2. Materials: Plastics, light metals, high temperature materials and materials used in additive manufacturing
3. Joining: welded joints
4. Materials practice: failure analysis
