Corresponding to the experimental nature of physics students will perform experiments on basic issues from the fields of mechanics, thermodynamics, optics, nuclear physics and electricity and magnetism. The subject matter of these experiments will be communicated at the beginning of each term and is closely related to that of the undergraduate lectures syllabus, though not necessarily synchronized with it. Students therefore will have to acquire the knowledge required to perform their experiments mainly by their own initiative. Informations on how to proceed can be found in the instructions to the experiments, which can be downloaded from the internet. Relevant textbooks are provided by the library. Note that sufficient language skills in German are required to participate!
