Lehrinhalte: In this course we study theoretical and empirical models on the following topics: An important question for the World Bank, IMF etc. are : How are economic inequality and economic performance linked? The classical view: Inequality is good for growth. Recent view: Inequality is bad for growth. Challenging views: Empirical evidence with international data. Study ongoing theory, empirical and policy debates (arguments). Practical exercises with data to deepen the knowledge in the field are planned.
