Lehrinhalte: This course is designed to help you develop your English language skills. Each week we will discuss a topic of current interest related to the field of Industrial Engineering. Since the field is very broad and includes both technical and business-related aspects, we can focus on topics of interest to the participants. Pronunciation and vocabulary will receive special attention, whereby mistakes form an important part of the learning process. The course will emphasize various forms of oral communication: class discussions, small group discussions with summarizing reports, impromptu short oral presentations, role plays, etc. Exercises to improve your writing, reading, and listening skills will also be offered and some general grammar problems will be dealt with. Students are expected to make an active contribution to the success of this class.
Literatur: Material will be made available for a small fee
Voraussetzungen: A score of at least 65 on the placement test, a good working knowledge of general English, familiarity with some basic terminology in your specialist area, interest in exchanging ideas
