Voraussetzungen:
Die Vorlesung setzt keine besonderen Vorkenntnisse im Bereich der Ingenieur- oder Naturwissenschaften voraus.

Weitere Informationen:
Am Ende der Veranstaltung (am 09.02.15) wird eine einstündige Klausur in englischer Sprache durchgeführt. Der Erwerb von Kreditpunkten setzt das Bestehen dieser Klausur voraus. Als Grundlage für die schriftliche Prüfung dienen die Vorlesungsnotizen

Offizielle Kursbeschreibung:
The interdisciplinary lecture series presents various analyses of the development of technologies and urban areas in Sub-Saharan Africa. It combines a historical perspective with discussion of contemporary challenges. Focus is on infrastructures such as power grids, road networks, and telecommunication systems. A number of invited speakers complement lectures by the two responsible professors.
