Official Course Description:
In this course, you are learning the foundations of programming in Python (Python 3.8.x) with a view to programming for tasks in corpus linguistics. The course is offered as a block course during the orientation week (26.10. - 29.20.) so as to give you an opportunity to focus on the course before taking other corpus linguistics courses which might benefit from your Python skills. Please log into the accompanying moodle course well before the first meeting to get information about reading assignments and exercises to be completed before and in preparation for the course. In the week before the course, on Wednesday, 21 October, there will be a meeting via moodle and Zoom to give you an opportunity to ask questions about your Python installation and exercises. More information will become available on moodle.
