Digital Teaching:
The module is carried out digitally and in English language in the winter semester 20/21. The course is organized in the form of lectures, exercises and group work as zoom video conferences within the given lecture time. Each student will also give a presentation on an IWRM topic as part of a group work. The study achievement will be provided in Moodle, will be worked out independently in group work and must be uploaded in Moodle by a given deadline. The preliminary meeting is on Friday 06.11.2020.

Course Contents:
• Objectives of sustainable integrated water management,
• Technical, economic, social, ecological and legal aspects of integrated water management,
• Principles and criteria for assessing sustainability,
• Ecosystem services
• Determination of the available water supply and water demand,
• Competing and complementary uses,
• Water management under global change,
• Application of simulation and optimization approaches,
• Presentation and discussion of water management systems.

Preconditions:
Recommended: Basic hydrological knowledge
