The 'Physikalisches Praktikum für Fostgeschrittene' is an Advanced Physics Lab distributed among the three institutes of the Physics 'Fachbereich'. There you find a large collection of experiments on which you can practice various experimental techniques and learn data evaluation methods.
Prerequisite is a Basic Physics Lab and the course 'Physikalische Messtechnik' with 2 CP.
You may apply for the various experiments via a separate homepage if you are registered there with your 'Matrikelnummer' (student ID). Registration is possible by the responsibles for the Advanced Physics Lab. If the report about the experiment is accepted by the supervisor you will get 1.33 CP for each experiment. Totally, 12 successfully performed experiments will give you 16 CP for the full Advanced Physics Lab. Alternatively, you may work on a project within the different experimental groups equivalent to 1-2 Physics Labs.
Detailled descriptions of the experiments are found a the pages of the three divisions of the Physics Lab.
