Course Contents:
- Typical fields of application
Population dynamics and kinetics of biochemical reactions, pattern formation, modelling of tissue evolution.
- Modelling techniques
Continuum models; diffusion-reaction systems; Turing instability; chemotaxis and cell adhesion; positivity and mass conservation.
- Simulation techniques
Method of lines; advection-dominated problems; nonlocal terms; sensitivity analysis.
