Hours per week: 4

Language of instruction: Englisch

Min. | Max. participants: - | -

Course Contents:
The tutorial will be held as a block event (2 weeks). On the first day there will be an introductory lecture on the basics and applications of the finite element method. Afterwards, the students learn how to use the finite element software (Abaqus or Simufact) in a tutorial. On the fourth day the participants receive a selected task from the field of forming technology, which has to be solved independently.
In addition to investigating the influence of numerical parameters, the focus is also on the effect of process parameters on the simulation result.

Exam:

The assessment is based on the work of the group of 3-7 participants as well as the presentation and discussion of the results after completion of the tutorial.

Audience:

The course is intended for students of mechanical engineering, industrial engineering and teacher training for vocational schools of industrial-technical subjects.
