Course Contents:
In this part of the course, after an introduction, typical mechatronic systems are presented. A simple mechatronic system essentially consists of the mechatronic structure (mechanical process), the sensor, the controller (microprocessor) and the actuator with amplifier. In order to be able to analyse the dynamic behaviour of the overall system, it is necessary to model and analyse the individual components, which contribute to the dynamics of the overall system with their typical properties. Part I of the lecture focuses on the mechanical process (structural dynamics), on the control of mechanical systems and on the signals that establish the exchange of information between the components, whereby signal acquisition (measurement of mechanical variables with sensors) and signal processing (microprocessors) are dealt with.
