Course Contents:
This course provides students with the skills to communicate using basic Finnish sentences. By the end of the course, students will know how to introduce themselves, to go shopping, to order something, to ask for directions and to count in Finnish.
The following grammatical areas will be dealt with in this beginner’s course: pronunciation, vowel harmony and changes in consonants, genitive, genitive-accusative, pronouns, verbs, quantifiers, days of the week, questions versus statements, locative, partitive, causative-have construction, and infinitive.
