Course Contents:
The German-French Distance Tandem is a joint project between the Language Center of the TU Darmstadt and the Ecole Centrale de Lyon. It is aimed at students and TU members who would like to further deepen and maintain their language and regional knowledge in cooperation with a tandem partner.
In the course, German and French students work in pairs in videoconferences on specific topics, mainly covering intercultural and university-specific aspects such as the university system, the campus, time management, politeness, different ways of working, etc. The students also work together with their tandem partner on a variety of topics. In each session, half of the time is spent communicating in French, the other half in German.

Preconditions:
Good knowledge of French at B1/B2 level,as demonstrated by the placement test (a score of at least 50), a UNIcert I certificate or a certificate from a UNIcert II course.
Participation in the first class is mandatory.

Requirement for course completion: regular participation for a Certificate of Participation
For a Certificate of Achievement with 3 CP, the tandem course may be recognized as a component of the Autonomous Learning Romance Languages learning program. To obtain 3 CP, additional participation in the Autonomous Learning course is required.
