Objectives:
The students should be able to recognize potential security problems in the multimedia field and learn how to resolve them. To achieve this, a special implementation of the security protocols for pictures, video and audio will be taught and implemented.
Course Content:
- Partial encoding procedures for video and audio to ensure confidentiality and authenticity
- Digital watermarks for images and audio - areas of application, methods and procedures
- Digital Rights Management and Copyright protection procedures
- Visual cryptography Besides discussing different algorithms, i.e. their possibilities, limitations and weaknesses, the commercial and societal aspects of protective measures will also be part of the lecture.
