Course Contents:
The seminar covers advanced scientific topics of IT security. Students can choose from a number of presented topics and work on them with scientific methods. In the span of the semester, students will write their own scientific article and present it at the end of the semester.

EXEMPLARY TOPICS:
- IoT and radio protocols (e.g. Bluetooth LE, Bluetooth Mesh, LoRaWAN)
- Physical Layer Security (including Distance Bounding, Direction Finding)
- Embedded systems
- Software Defined Radio

SCHEDULE:
- Kickoff Meeting with presentation of topics
- Creation of a short exposé
- Assignment of topics to students
- Submission of intermediate results
- Peer review
- Presentation
- Submission final version

Preconditions:
Previous knowledge in the field of IT security, for example by attending corresponding courses, is recommended.
