Digital Teaching:
According to the current state of knowledge, the group exercise for the course Fundamentals of Digitization (GdD) will be held in person in WiSe 22/23.
The teaching starts in week 43 (from 24.10.2022) and takes place on the weekdays and times mentioned in the schedule (see TUCaN).
Technical access to the exercise materials takes place via Moodle, where the tasks and solutions are provided as well. You were automatically registered for the GdD Moodle course when you registered in TUCaN. If you have any problems with the Moodle course, please contact the supervising research assistants Daniel Betschinske (daniel.betschinske@tu-darmstadt.de) or Manuela Richter (Manuela.Richter@fst.tu-darmstadt.de). You will then receive all further information via Moodle.
Course Contents:
This tutorial accompanies the lecture "Fundamentals of Digitalisation". The lecture material from the topic "Methods for program development" is deepened. An introduction to two programming languages is given with a focus on methods of programming and software development.
Since winter semester 06/07 MATLAB is used and since winter semester 19/20 additionally Python.
Participants are introduced to designing their own programs, and great emphasis is placed on the use of modern electronic information and communication tools as well as teamwork.
The second part of the exercise (FST) focuses on algorithm-based data processing. This includes an introduction to version management (git) as well as data formats and data structures (e.g. HDF5).
All course materials are available in Moodle.
