Course Contents:
This course will give a theoretical introduction to the physics of many‐body
systems, with special attention to modern concepts and to applications
ranging from cold atoms to nuclei, neutron stars and condensed matter

Tentative Outline:

1. Introduction

2. Review of second quantization and applications

3. Path integrals and many‐body partition function

4. Effective field theory

5. Perturbation theory, Feynman rules and applications

6. Superconductivity and Nambu‐Gorkov formalism

7. Universal properties of strongly interacting Fermi gases and strong‐coupling methods

8.* Fermi liquid theory

9.* Response functions

10.* Effective action and density functional theory
