Official Course Description: This course seeks to tackle the idea of world poetry. Taking its cue from Franco Moretti’s concept of world literature we will discuss the concept’s validity in the realm of poetry. In addition to a great selection of English poems, we'll read and discuss poetry from Ireland, Canada, Australia and New Zealand. A class pack (PDF) will be made available at the beginning of the new term.
