To learn: graphic programming, foundations of geometric modeling and photo-realistic rendering techniques.
Course Content:
- Modeling - Parametric curves and surfaces- Implicit curves and surfaces
- Triangle meshes - compression - simplification- multi-resolution depiction
- Volume data and point sets - isosurfaces - visualization techniques - mesh conversion
- Mesh generation and remeshing

Curves and surfaces (polynomials, splines, RBF) Interpolation and approximation, display techniques, algorithms: de Casteljau, de Boor, Oslo,... Volume and implicite surfaces, visualization techniques, iso-surfaces, MLS, surface rendering, marching cubes meshes, mesh compression, mesh simplication, multiscale expansion, subdivision
