Course Contents:
This seminar will focus on the fact that urban planning and urban development are influenced by a wide variety of social, cultural and intercultural aspects. This concerns the design of urban infrastructure, the cooperation with the people living there on the one hand, but also the cooperation in international teams planning sustainable cities on the other hand. Various questions are examined, such as what ideas are associated with environmental protection in different countries, what life in a city means in different countries, what roles individual citizens play in different spaces of a city, etc.
